Third Lanark have now made a connection with a local Primary School
Mount Florida Primary.
Matt Curry and David Henderson are working with the head teacher in the school to get a school football team started for the start of the new term starting in August. Third Lanark will be buying the school team a new strip and training kit for the start of the season
The Head teacher is going to try and get some parents involved in coaching the team. Third Lanark will help access some training facilities also.
Tickets are now available for this year’s Third lanark Annual Dinner. This year;s event takes place at No.10 just across the road from Cathkin Park traditional home of our club. Our annual dinner is a well known event in the football calendar and we aim to create an enjoyable evening celebrating our illustrious past players and our present teams together with great entertainment. Tables cost £400 and individuals can enjoy the entertainment and a three course meal for £40.00. Tickets are available on request from Pat McGeady who can be contacted on 07955229969.
Bob Laird one of our club historians is holding one of his celebrated exhibiitions at Wellcroft Bowling Club, Queens Park. The event is both a celebration of the club’s golden era and a fundraiser to assist with club development.
Third Lanark A.F.C. exists to provide sporting facilities and activities for all in Glasgow Southside. The club is run on a voluntary basis and operate with an ‘Open Door Policy’ in relation to membership regardless of race, religion, disability or gender. The club intends to operate as a professional football club at Junior level within the next few years.
We believe it is the responsibility of those in charge to care for and develop the participants involved to the best of their individual abilities by creating an environment in which they are safe and receive the best possible coaching. Fair play, mutual understanding and cross community aspects play an important role in the ethos of the club. The Committee and coaches after being vetted by the club are made aware of our ethos and Child Protection Policy.
